Rampura Lake, North Bangalore - 26 Nov 2003

I missed last Sunday's outing by Bangalore Birders[bngbirds@yahoogroups]. There were excellent reports and a long list of birds sighted, and hence I decided to go there on Ramzan day - official holiday. I was at the lake at 7AM after some initial 'beating around the bush'. However the people gave good directions, though each guy had his own version of how long a kilometer is. I spent 3 1/2 hrs there, and found that a lot many of bird species can be sighted. Being an amateur if I can identify this much, I'm sure an expert will be able to identify much more. Many species went unidentified too, as usual.
